As a speaker, Steve stands out as more than just an outstanding athlete – he’s a savvy businessman and a notable philanthropist. Crediting his successes to his parents, Steve is truly a professional in all his endeavors.
When it comes to business relations, Steve believes it is “important to begin with the end in mind.” His extensive business background involves real estate, stock, and security investments – and he has the portfolios to prove it. His focus on long term achievements has allowed Steve to become highly diversified and accomplished in the business world today.
Steve also believes it is important to give back to others “because your heart says it’s the right thing to do.” His donation of the Clara Bell Smith Center at Michigan State University is a prime example of his charitable doings. Designed to prepare athletes for the world beyond the court, arena, or stadium – whatever the venue – The Clara Bell Smith Center is renowned for its state-of-the-art amenities and learning assistance that it provides to athletes.
In addition to generously giving back to his alma mater, Steve also works closely with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the Boys and Girls Club of America, and other charitable organizations around the world.
