The Michigan State University Black Alumni Association (“MSUBA”) has selected Steve Smith as the 2016 Recipient of the University/Community Service Distinguished Alumni Award. The award recognizes an individual who has demonstrated pioneering leadership, dedication to inter-racial harmony, outstanding community involvement and a commitment to the MSUBA goals and objectives. Steve will be awarded with this honor at the Scholarship and Distinguish Alumni Award Ceremony, which will be held on October 15, 2016 at The Causeway Bay Lansing Hotel and Convention Center. Forty students will also receive scholarships during the ceremony.
